Description

Sonya is a one of a kind (OOAK) textile collectible handmade art doll. Please note, she is not a play doll and is not intended for kids.

Handmade art doll details

Sonya is around 15″ tall(or around 10.5″ sitting) and was created in a smoke-free pet-friendly home. As said above, she is made from high quality cotton fabric and covered with cotton knit(made in USA specifically for dolls) which makes her feel very pleasant to the touch.

Her head is sewn, needle sculpted, needle felted and then covered with knit fabric. You can turn it left or right for cute pictures and even at a slight angle.

She is stuffed firmly with premium quality fiber fill and cedar wood shavings. This handmade art doll also has some glass beads inside which gives her some weight and makes her feel more real in your arms(she is heavy-ish!).

Hands

Her fingers (teeny tiny ones!)have wire inside which shapes them nicely.

Her elbows and knees have wooden ball joints. I especially love knee ball joints as they let her sit on the table or shelf looking cute and lively! Please note, Sonya is meant to be seated and can’t stand on her own. Her limbs don’t hold the pose even though they bend well.

Body

Sonya’s body and face are blushed with artist grade soft pastels and pencil pastels. They are then fixed with the same artist grade fixative and archival UV acrylic spray varnish.

Her eyes are painted with quality acrylic paint and then covered with archival UV varnish(so that they eyes remain vibrant for as long as possible!).

Her hair is made of alpaca locks. It is very soft and just beautiful!

CLOTHES

The outfit looks neat not only on the outside but on the inside as well. The sweater and the hat are hand knitted. Please note, the hat is NOT removable. The shorts and top are sewn from cotton(removable). The socks are not removable.

Shoes

Sonya’s shoes are  handmade from genuine leather. They are tiny and cute and are handsewn.

Sonya is an art doll and is not washable so please handle her gently.

The doll will come in a personalized box with certificate of authenticity and my signature. No other items are included(no chair, book, or plants used for photos)

Sonya will be shipped  FREE  within continental USA via FedEx mail ,insured, within 3 business days(with required signature upon arrival).

International buyers, shipping varies greatly depending on your location, and thus,might be more or less than the quoted amount. Please contact me directly for international shipping quote via Instagram ,Facebook or this website’s contact form.  Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges.These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
